Bronze, 72” diameter

This fabricated bronze is located in Philadelphia, at 33rd and Walnut, in front of the Laboratory for Research on the Structure of Matter. Every so often, someone reminds me it's still there.

I designed it during my final year of the sculpture program at U Penn. It was fabricated with much help from my adviser, Robert Engman, though I seem to recall that I did all the welding. The design was done on graph paper without CAD software: the only time I ever used all 20 memories of my trusty HP-11C. (I still have it; it still works; I still use it.)
